MEET OUR PASTOR

EXECUTIVE PASTOR REV. ISAAC HOLT III

Reverend Isaac J. Holt III is a dynamic preacher, gifted teacher, and an emerging voice in this generation of Kingdom leadership.

He is a native of Charleston, SC. He is the only child of Rev. Dr. Isaac J. Holt, Jr., Senior Pastor of Royal Missionary Baptist Church in North Charleston, SC, and First Lady Jannie Holt.

Born into the work of ministry under the leadership of his father, Rev. Holt was officially licensed to preach at the age of 23 and later ordained at the age of 26.

Currently, at Royal Missionary Baptist Church, he serves as the Executive Pastor and the Assistant Director of Christian Education. He also serves as an instructor and workshop facilitator for the State Congress of Christian Education of South Carolina.

Rev. Holt is a graduate of The University of Tennessee-Knoxville with a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management. He furthered his business studies at the University of South Carolina-Columbia, obtaining his Master of Business Administration degree. Throughout college, he earned multiple honors and awards acknowledging his strong commitment to academics, scholarship, and leadership.

He has furthered his academic pursuits in theological education by graduating Magna Cum Laude from Duke Divinity School with a Master of Divinity degree, focusing on Baptist Church Studies, Black Church Studies, and Preaching. At Duke, he was recognized for his exemplary promise and dedication, receiving honors such as Dean’s Divinity Scholar, Martin Luther King Jr. Preaching Scholar, Mary Herndon and Carlton Baptist Scholar, and a Black Church Studies Fellow.

He is now currently enrolled as a Doctoral Student at United Theological Seminary (in Dayton, Ohio), where he is pursuing his Doctor of Ministry degree.

Outside of the church, Rev. Holt is a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.

His ministry outlook is grounded in Acts 1:8 – “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
