MEET OUR PASTOR
REVEREND DOCTOR ISAAC J. HOLT JR
The Reverend Doctor Isaac Holt Jr., is a native of Alabama, a veteran of the United States Navy and a cum laude honors graduate of Morris College, Sumter SC where he received his bachelor’s degree in Organizational Management with additional studies at Alabama A&M University, Huntsville Alabama and US Naval schools of leadership and electronics. Dr. received an honorary Doctorate Degree from Morris College in 2017.
- Paster Holt has served as the senior pastor of Royal Missionary Baptist Church in North Charleston, SC for 32 years and under his leadership the church has experienced amazing growth in all areas. They recently burned a $8 million mortgage paid off in 10 years making the entire 6 building church campus debt-free.
- Under his leadership the church has grown spiritually, and numerically in disciples and ministries
- Pastor Holt is in high demand as a preacher, teacher and workshop facilitator. The Church has two Sunday worship services and his preaching is broadcast weekly on two radio stations in the Charleston area.
- Holt is a Navy veteran, he graduated cum Laude from Morris College in Sumter, SC with additional studies at Alabama A &M University in Huntsville Alabama.
- He is the recipient of many awards, honors and noted recognitions locally and nationally.
- He currently on serves on the Board of Directors for the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc. and Board of Directors for the International African American Museum (IAAM) in Charleston, SC.
- He has served terms in our Baptist E&M Convention of South Carolina as state Vice President, instructor for the state Congress of Christian Education, state Vice-president of District one. He recently finished six years serving Moderator of the Charleston County Missionary Baptist Association.
- He is married to the former Jannie Singleton Holt and they have one son Isaac Holt III who is now a senior at Duke Divinity School in Durham, SC. The couple reside in Hanahan, SC.
